Planetarium is an optical mechanism placed in the middle of round room which has an 8 m width, the white hemisphere, showing the fake sky, is vaulting over the heads of a visitors. For the visitors interested in astronomy it shows the night sky with stars, planets, sun, moon, unusual phenomenon and the movements of the sky figures. The small Planetarium, type ZKP -II, made by Zeiss Jena has two projecting heads. These are in fact the two diaprojectors, each with 16 lenses, by which is showed the specific section of the sky. Individual pictures are overlapping and making perfect illusion of the sky full of stars. Two projecting heads are able to show the night sky from the northern and also the southern hemisphere.

With this device we can show the events we could see with a free eye from the earth - 5000 stars, sun, moon, five planets of the sun system (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn), some nebulas, galaxies, Milky way. The device is able to be set for the specific day, month, year and show how was or will be looking the sky in the future. Planetarium is able to demonstrate sky in 13000 years length, explain and show astronomical points, which are used for the practice of classical navigation by the stars. With adding the other devices it is able to view the Sun system from the far away, eclipse of the sun or moon, demonstrate the fly or the path of the comet. Programs for the school groups are completed with the astronomic movies, slides, and the cartoons for the young ones. Capacity of the planetarium is 42 places. Object of the planetarium was opened for public in the year of 1975.
