WRITTEN IN LIGHT

During their continuous artistic practice, students of photographic design from the School of Applied Arts in Kežmarok focused on four creative assignments that represent various forms of photography. In the first part, you will be interested in luminography, where light becomes a brush and darkness a canvas. The movements of light sources and long exposures create fascinating images full of fantasy and mystery. Another topic is the architecture of the city of Spišská Belá - detail and whole, street and hidden corners. The young photographers looked for ways to capture the characteristic buildings and the unique atmosphere of the city, where history and the present intersect.

There are also important personalities of Spišská Belá, which the students processed in an unconventional way - through symbols, metaphors and artistic language. Each photograph is an original interpretation of the faces and stories that shaped the city. And finally, the landscape, which turns into poetic images in front of the lenses. From majestic panoramas to fine details - the natural scenery of the Tatras comes to life here in various moods, colors and plays of light.

The opening will be associated with the ceremonial signing of a memorandum between ŠUP Kežmarok and the Slovak Technical Museum Košice.
