The exhibition highlights the life of aviator and Slovak National Uprising hero Matej Beznák (1921–1997). He gained renown for a victorious aerial engagement on September 7, 1944, when he shot down a modern German Focke-Wulf Fw 189 aircraft while flying a biplane. The exhibition displays his personal documents, photographs, decorations, maps, a compass, and other artifacts. Also featured are paintings of aircraft from Pavla Sluka’s Combined Squadron and American planes by Ján Pálffy.
