The Slovak Technical Museum and BIBIANA, the International House of Art for Children, invite the general public to the exhibition *Awarded Illustrators of BIB 2025*, which showcases the work of the laureates of the 30th edition of the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB).
This expanded exhibition features two illustrations by each recipient of the official BIB awards. It includes the work of the BIB 2025 Grand Prix winner, Iranian illustrator Noushin Sadeghian—honored for her illustrations in the book *Da’al’s Daughter*—as well as the works of other award recipients, including those who received the BIB 2025 Golden Apple and the BIB 2025 Plaque.
Slovakia is also represented among the winners: the BIB 2025 Plaque was awarded to the outstanding illustrator Peter Uchnár, a regular participant in the biennial since 1999 (with the exception of the 2023 edition). His previous accolades include a BIB 1999 Golden Apple, the BIB Children’s Jury Award (in both 2009 and 2017), and the Mayor of Bratislava Award (2013).
For over 60 years, the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava has stood as one of the most significant international events in the field of book illustration. It showcases the very best in contemporary global children’s book illustration, reaffirming its prominent position on the international illustration scene. The 2025 edition of BIB presents a selection of original works by 291 illustrators from 42 countries, reflecting diverse artistic motifs, techniques, and current trends in children’s book illustration.
The award-winning works offer visitors the opportunity to discover the distinctive artistic styles of creators from various parts of the world and to gain insight into the diverse realm of contemporary book illustration.
The Slovak Technical Museum cordially invites all those with an interest in the visual arts, illustration, and book creation.
We look forward to your visit!
